Virunga Power was formed in 2011 with the goal of creating and implementing a fully-sustainable and renewable rural power distribution model for sub-Saharan Africa.  

Having secured financing for the exploratory phase, we are in the process of meeting with local and regional stakeholders in Africa, as well as global industry and development experts and financial institutions to begin altering the traditional power financing and distribution models to meet the needs of energy consumers in rural Africa.  

We have several projects currently in development and are actively seeking additional projects for development and opening new dialogues on partnership.
